RADs and DAPs

FEE Changes in Setup/Fees

DO NOT Rename your Income Test Fees to Means Test Fees. 
There is a new fee type of MEANS TEST so create a Means Test fee and give it type means test with no fee amount.
Means Test Fees are collated in Residents/Fees tab. MTD, YTD  and TOTAL (Only starting from 01/07)
There is a new report in  Reports/Residents/Residents Means Test Fees giving mtd,ytd and total.

Add a new Fee Item 
   Daily Accommotation Payment (DAP) with fee type DAP the current Daily Bond Charge will remain and be used for existing Residents.

RADs

There is a new tab in the Resident's screen alongside the existing BOND tab named RADs and DAPs to be used for new Residents after 1 July

There is provision for 
RAD Agreement Date
Total RAD 
Current Interest Rate (for 1st July)
A check box if the Resident is drawing down DAP from the RAD
an amount to be invoiced (using the new DAP fee you have setup) if only drawing down part of the DAP

The RAD is effectively a trust fund so there is provision for payment of RAD, Drawdown of DAP from RAD, Deductions (provision must be made
for payments to be taken out of RAD and eventually a REFUND of remaining deposit on discharge. DAPs and other fees taken out of the RAD are not 
invoiced. If fees already invoiced are required to be taken as a drawdown they will need to be credited on invoice.
These transactions can be printed at any time and RAD statements can be printed for all Residents with a RAD

Totals are kept for DAP Drawdowns, Deductions, Refunds showing the RAD Balance.

DRAWDOWNS
	DAP Drawdowns can be calculated at end of month or anytime in Transactions/DAP Drawdowns. This will recalculate the daily
	DAP from the difference between the total rad and the balance after previous drawdowns using the current interest. If this has changed 
	since the last time it can be updated before calculating current dap and monthly dap drawdown amounts with the Interest Button.
	If there is any reason to change days calculated for new residents (calculated from service acceptance date) simply double click on the 
	days column and enter the number of days required.
	This calculation updates interest and Daily DAP on the Residents data as it is calculated and this step can be done without posting at this stage.
	When you are happy with the results they can be printed and then POSTED.
	Manual DAP drawdowns are also available on the Residents RADs & DAPs tab. 

	There is also a screen to calculate Means Test Drawdowns in Transactions/Means Test Drawdowns.

REPORTS
	in Reports/Resident there is a report for Residents Means Test Fees. This will give you MTD, YTD and total means test fees charged to 
		each Resident.

LOCATIONS
	in Locations/Bonds totals are kept for MTD DAP Drawdowns, MTD Means Test Drawdowns and other RAD Deductions with provision for a dissection number
	 to keep a tally on the total amounts and to transfer to the GL with the monthly Debtors transfer if required.

RAD Calculator. 

	Copy the DAPCALC.EXE into any existing BrsAcc folder and drag a shortcut to the desktop.
	For a standalone setup (i.e. on a site managers pc without BrsAcc) put it in a separate folder with supplied dlls.
	
	In File/Setup the total DAP for your organisation or location can be input along with the current Interest rate 
	In File/Calc you can play around with partial payments, DAP drawdowns and part drawdown part invoiced amounts.
